Product Description

Vishay BPW83 is a high-performance PIN photodiode suitable for infrared and visible light detection. It features a through-hole side view plastic package with a daylight blocking filter that enhances sensitivity by reducing ambient visible light interference. The device offers a ± 65° angle of half sensitivity, making it well-suited for high-speed IR detector applications, free air data transmission systems, and IR remote control devices.

With a peak wavelength sensitivity of 950nm and a spectral detection range from 790nm to 1050nm, the BPW83 photodiode provides accurate and fast response with typical rise and fall times of 100ns.
