Vishay TEPT5600 Ambient Light Phototransistor is part of the TEPT series of NPN epitaxial planar phototransistors designed to sense visible and infrared light. The device features a 5 mm (T-1 3/4) clear plastic through-hole 2-pin package that is compatible with various electronic circuits requiring ambient light detection.

With a peak wavelength sensitivity at 570nm and a 40° angle of half sensitivity, this phototransistor closely mimics the human eye's visible light detection. Its maximum collector current of 20mA and low maximum dark current of 50nA provide reliable and accurate photodetection.
