Product Description
The Vishay VSLY5850 is a high speed infrared emitting diode featuring a peak wavelength of 850 nm. It is housed in a standard 5 mm through-hole package (T-1¾) with a clear plastic body and a parabolic lens that provides a narrow emission angle of 3°. The Diode achieves a radiant flux of 55 mW and a radiant intensity of 600 mW/sr, ensuring efficient high-speed infrared light transmission.
This IR LED is constructed using gallium aluminium arsenide (GaAlAs) material, making it suitable for applications requiring high spectral matching with CMOS cameras. Its high reliability and performance under high pulse current conditions make it ideal for technologies such as high-speed IR data transmission, smoke automatic fire detectors, and IR flash systems.
