Molex 78723-1001 is a 6 Way Right Angle Push Pull Micro SIM Memory Card Connector designed with an ultra-low profile height of just 1.35 mm to save significant vertical space on PCBs. This surface mount connector features a push-pull insertion and removal mechanism that includes a wide finger area for simple and secure handling of the micro SIM card. The connector shell has an integral shell spring tab that provides a high normal contact force of 0.30N when the SIM card is inserted, ensuring a reliable electrical connection.

To enhance reliability, the connector incorporates dual angular card polarization features that prevent card misinsertion and raised housing walls to protect against shorting between the SIM card contact pads and metal shell. The copper alloy contacts are plated with gold over nickel for excellent conductivity and durability. Additionally, the rounded terminal profile facilitates smooth card insertion, and the internal lead design prevents contact stubbing.

The housing is molded from high temperature liquid crystal polymer with an EMI shielded stainless steel cover that offers robust protection against electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for various industrial, commercial, and communication devices.
