Maxim Integrated MAX9860ETG+T Audio Codec IC is a specialized 3-channel audio codec designed for high-quality audio encoding and decoding in compact electronic devices. This surface mount device features a 24-pin Thin QFN package measuring 4.1mm in length and 0.75mm in height, making it ideal for space-constrained applications.
The device operates from a low single supply voltage range of 1.8V to 1.9V and supports digital sampling rates up to 48kHz with 16-bit resolution. It integrates 1 DAC and 2 ADCs, providing high dynamic range audio performance suitable for mobile phones, portable navigation devices, smart phones, audio accessories, and VoIP phones.
Additional features include digital highpass elliptical filters with notch filtering at 217Hz to eliminate GSM interference, a 30mW BTL headphone amplifier, and dual low-noise microphone inputs with automatic gain control and noise gating to optimize microphone signal quality. The audio codec maintains clickless and popless operation, ensuring smooth audio transitions with minimal noise artifacts.
