Maxim Integrated MAX98089ETN+ is a high-performance 2-channel audio codec IC designed for surface mounted applications, supplied in a 56-Pin TQFN package measuring 7mm by 7mm with a height of 0.75mm. This audio codec supports a supply voltage from 1.8V to 5.5V and operates over a wide temperature range from -40°C to 85°C.

Engineered for precise audio conversion, it features two digital-to-analog converters (DACs) and two analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) with 24-bit resolution and a 96kHz sampling rate. This ensures high-fidelity sound reproduction suitable for demanding electronic components and audio systems.

The MAX98089ETN+ supports multiple digital audio interfaces, including I2S, TDM, and PCM, enabling flexible integration in various audio and video encoding and decoding systems. It incorporates FlexSound technology providing a five-band parametric equalizer along with automatic level control, excursion limiter, speaker power limiter, and distortion limiter to optimize sound quality.

Additional integrated features include stereo, low electromagnetic interference (EMI) Class D amplifiers that deliver efficient audio output with 1.7 watts per channel into 8Ω loads and 2.9 watts per channel into 4Ω loads under a 5.0V supply voltage. The efficient Class H headphone amplifier ensures battery-friendly power consumption.

This IC includes differential receiver amplifiers, stereo line outputs, single-ended and mono differential line inputs, and multiple differential microphone inputs to accommodate complex audio configurations. Its asynchronous digital mixing capability supports master clock frequencies from 10MHz to 60MHz, catering to high-performance electronic and communication devices.

The device is designed to be RF immune with extensive click-and-pop reduction circuitry, ensuring clean audio output in electrically noisy environments.
