Vishay TEMT6200FX01 Visible Light Phototransistor features a compact 0805 surface mount design with 2 pins, optimized for ambient light sensing applications. It consists of an NPN epitaxial planar phototransistor in a transparent package with high photo sensitivity and suppression filter for near IR radiation.

Its detection angle of half sensitivity is ±60°, matching the human eye’s visible light spectrum with a peak wavelength of 550 nm. The device operates reliably across a temperature range from -40°C to 100°C and supports a collector current of 20 mA with low dark current leakage.

This phototransistor is commonly used in automotive sensors and is compliant with the rigorous AEC-Q101 standard, as well as J-STD-020 standards for reliability and quality. It is especially useful for display backlight control in mobile phones, notebooks, tablets, cameras, and vehicle dashboards.
