HY Electronic Corp SS26 is a Schottky barrier rectifier diode designed for surface mount applications with a DO-214AA package. This diode offers a maximum continuous forward current of 2 A and peak reverse repetitive voltage of 60 V, making it suitable for power rectification and protection circuits in industrial, electronic, and automotive sectors.
The device features a low forward voltage drop (0.7 V max), which increases efficiency by reducing power losses in switching power supplies, free-wheeling diode applications, and inverters. Its peak forward surge current rating of 50 A allows it to withstand transient current spikes without damage.
Constructed with epitaxial technology and a metal-semiconductor junction with guarding, the SS26 diode ensures excellent electrical performance and reliability. The molded plastic case complies with UL 94V-0 flammability rating, enhancing safety in operation.
Operating temperature range from -65°C up to 125°C allows the diode to be deployed in harsh environments. The polarity is clearly marked with a cathode band, facilitating correct placement on PCB assemblies.
This diode is used extensively in semiconductor discrete component applications including power supplies, inverters, polarity protection circuits, and free-wheeling diode functions within various electronic and electrical systems.
