HY Electronic Corp 25PV040 Schottky Barrier Rectifier Diode is engineered for semiconductor applications requiring efficient switching and low power loss. This diode employs Schottky barrier technology, which ensures low forward voltage drop (550 mV typical) and high surge current capabilities (400 A), reducing heat generation and improving efficiency. The device features a through hole mount type housed in a moulded plastic JEDEC R-6 package with 2 pins, marked for cathode polarity by a colour band.

Operating across a broad temperature range from -55°C to 200°C, it is especially suited for use in photovoltaic solar cell applications as a bypass diode, protecting cells under DC forward current without reverse bias.
