TE Connectivity 31880 PIDG Insulated Ring Terminal with M2.5 stud size is engineered for use with wire sizes ranging from 22 AWG to 16 AWG. It features a high conductivity copper contact material with tin plating to ensure excellent electrical conduction and corrosion resistance. The terminal’s red nylon insulation sleeve provides color-coded wire size identification and durability.
The unique PIDG (Pre-Insulated Diamond Grip) design incorporates serrations inside the copper wire barrel to maximize tensile strength and contact reliability after crimping. A copper sleeve within the insulation enhances wire retention and prevents fraying during termination. The funnelled entry design facilitates fast and consistent wire insertion, supporting high-speed manufacturing processes.
