Vishay TVS Diode Bi-Directional/Uni-Directional 400W, 33V, DO-214, 2-Pin, TRANSZORB, SMAJ33CAHE3_A/H

Vishay SMAJ33CAHE3_A/H TVS Diode is a compact and reliable surface-mount device tailored for efficient protection of sensitive electronics against damaging voltage transients. Designed using advanced TRANSZORB TVS technology, this single-element diode offers both bi-directional and uni-directional functionality, enabling robust defense in a variety of industrial, automotive, telecommunication, and consumer products.

The diode supports a peak pulse power dissipation of 400 W and integrates seamlessly into surface-mount layouts with its standard DO-214 package and 2-pin configuration. It excels in rapid clamping, with a low clamping voltage of 53.3 V and ESD protection capabilities, making it ideal for critical circuits exposed to inductive switching surges or lightning events. The minimum reverse stand-off voltage is rated at 33 V, with a minimum breakdown voltage of 36.7 V, ensuring accurate and reliable suppression of overvoltages in signal and power lines.

Bi-directional and uni-directional TVS diode ensures maximum versatility in circuit protection strategies. 400 W peak pulse power dissipation for demanding applications. Surface-mount DO-214 package for automated assembly and space savings.

Maximum operating temperature of 150°C allows for robust operation in automotive and industrial environments. Very low maximum reverse leakage current of 1μA ensures energy efficiency and low standby power. Compliant with AEC-Q101 automotive reliability standards, suitable for automotive and transport industries.

Ultra-fast response time and low incremental surge resistance enhance protection performance. Dimensions of 4.5 x 2.79 x 2.29 mm allow integration in densely populated PCBs.

Typical use cases include transient suppression on MOSFET gates, signal lines of sensor units, and as a secondary protection device in consumer electronics, industrial controllers, and telecommunications equipment. The Vishay SMAJ33CAHE3_A/H is particularly effective in safeguarding critical components against voltage spikes induced by inductive load switching and electrostatic discharge.

This TVS Diode’s robust construction and compliance with stringent quality standards make it an excellent choice for designers demanding reliable, long-term circuit protection in challenging environmental conditions.
