Maxim Integrated MAX5135GUE+ is a high-performance 12-bit voltage-output Digital to Analogue Converter (DAC) featuring 4 independent channels. It is housed in a compact 16-pin TSSOP surface mount package measuring 4mm by 4mm, designed for space-constrained applications.
This DAC utilizes a resistor string architecture providing monotonic output guaranteed over a wide temperature range from -40°C to 105°C. The device operates with a flexible supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.25V, enabling compatibility with a broad range of electronic systems.
The interface is a 3-wire 30MHz SPI Serial compatible with QSPI, MICROWIRE, and DSP protocols, facilitating easy communication and control. Key features include hardware-selectable zero or midscale outputs on power-up or reset, double-buffered input registers for simultaneous channel updates, and an internal high-performance 10ppm/°C reference ensuring exceptional stability and accuracy.
Additional features include an active-low LDAC input to asynchronously update outputs, an active-low READY signal for daisy chaining multiple devices, and buffered rail-to-rail voltage outputs with gain error under ±0.5%FS and offset error less than ±10mV.
This DAC is optimized for low-power operation with shutdown current typically at 2μA, making it ideal for portable instrumentation, process control, automatic test equipment, communication systems, and servo loop controls requiring precise voltage output conversion.
Resistor string DAC architecture for accuracy and monotonicity. SPI Serial interface compatible with multiple protocols. Wide operating voltage and temperature range for industrial use. Buffered voltage output with low gain and offset errors.
Hardware programmable power-up outputs for predictable startup behavior. Low power consumption suitable for battery-powered devices. Compact 16-pin TSSOP surface mount form factor for PCB space saving. RoHS lead-free compliant for environmentally safe applications.
Applications include automatic tuning, data acquisition, gain and offset adjustment, and programmable voltage/current sources.
Maxim Integrated products ensure high quality and reliability suitable for demanding industrial, laboratory, and communication system applications. Explore more options in Digital to Analogue Converters at EnvMart.
