onsemi 1N5934BG 24 V Zener Diode Voltage Regulator is a high-quality silicon-oxide passivated device designed to provide tight voltage regulation in power circuits. It features a single diode configuration with nominal Zener voltage of 24 V and a power dissipation capacity of 3 W, making it ideal for power supply stabilization and voltage reference applications.
This diode is encapsulated in a Case 017AA axial-lead package which is transfer-molded with thermosetting plastic to offer void-free construction and excellent environmental protection. The exterior finish is corrosion resistant, and the leads are designed to be readily solderable, ensuring durability and ease of assembly in manufacturing processes.
The 1N5934BG supports a wide operating temperature range from -65°C to 200°C, enabling use in harsh industrial and automotive environments. Its mounting type is through-hole with two pins, with the cathode polarity clearly indicated by a polarity band. The compact physical dimensions of 5.2 mm length and 2.7 mm height allow installation in dense PCB layouts.
With a test current rating of 15.6 mA, a maximum zener impedance of 700 Ω, and a negligible maximum reverse leakage current of 1 μA, the diode ensures stable, low-noise voltage regulation. It is protected against electrostatic discharge with a Class 3 rating >16 KV (Human Body Model) and can handle transient surges up to 98 W for 1 ms.
Single diode voltage regulator for power supply stabilization. 3 W power dissipation rating for robust performance. Through-hole axial-lead package for easy PCB mounting. Wide operating temperature range suitable for industrial uses.
Corrosion resistant finish for long service life. Cathode polarity marked for correct installation orientation. Compact dimensions for space-efficient PCB design.
This Zener diode series is well-suited for applications in power supply circuits, instrumentation, industrial automation, and automotive electronics. Its reliable operating characteristics and durable package design make it a versatile component in discrete semiconductor solutions.
