Power Integrations TOP255EN is a high side off liner power switch integrated circuit designed for use in off-line power supplies requiring up to 195 W output power. It integrates advanced features to optimize efficiency and performance across varying loads, achieving high efficiency even at low or standby loads.
This device supports multi-mode operational control, which maximizes efficiency through all load ranges thereby reducing power loss and thermal stress. A heatsink is not necessary for power dissipation up to 35 W when used with P, G, or M packages, making it ideal for compact power supply designs.
The TOP255EN includes built-in protections such as output overvoltage protection (OVP), line undervoltage (UV) detection to avoid turn-off glitches, and extended overvoltage shutdown for enhanced line surge tolerance.
