Product Description

BK Precision BK8612 is a programmable electronic DC load from the 8600 Series designed for testing and evaluating a variety of DC sources including DC power supplies, DC-DC converters, batteries, battery chargers, and photovoltaic arrays. It features a wide operating voltage range of 0 to 500 V and current range up to 30 A, with power handling up to 750 W within a compact 2U benchtop form factor.

With fast transient operation speeds reaching 25 kHz and 16-bit measurement resolution, the BK8612 provides highly accurate and reliable measurement data. It supports multiple operating modes such as constant current, constant voltage, constant resistance, and constant power, enabling flexible testing scenarios to simulate real-world load conditions.

The DC load unit includes advanced functions like list mode, adjustable slew rate in constant current mode, short circuit testing, and a built-in battery test function with voltage, capacity, and timer stop conditions. Additionally, the CR-LED mode simulates the loading behavior of typical LEDs, enhancing applicability in LED driver testing.

Remote voltage sensing compensates for voltage drops across wiring to ensure measurement fidelity.
