Microchip MIC2544-1YM is a reliable high side power switch integrated circuit designed for low loss DC power switching and advanced power management applications, including Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI).
This 8-pin SOIC device supports a supply voltage range from 2.7V up to 5.5V and provides adjustable current limiting up to 1.5A, suitable for various electronic and embedded system power control needs.
The MIC2544-1YM features reverse current flow blocking without a body diode, ensuring safe operation and load protection. Its low maximum on-resistance of 120mΩ minimizes voltage drops and heat dissipation during conduction.
Energy efficiency is enhanced by a typical on-state supply current of only 75μA and a typical off-state current of just 1μA, prolonging battery life in portable designs.
Additional built-in protections include an open-drain fault flag output to signal abnormal conditions and thermal shutdown circuitry to protect against overheating. The device supports a slow 2ms turn-on time combined with a fast turn-off for precise load switching.
