Product Description

onsemi SECO-MDK-4KW-65SPM31-GEVB is an advanced motor development kit evaluation board designed for high-efficiency three-phase motor drive applications using the NFAM5065L4B intelligent power module. The platform delivers up to 4 kW power with 650 V capability, supporting both continuous and short-term high-power operation. This evaluation board is tailored for product developers and engineers working on white goods, industrial fan drives, automation systems, and general motor control solutions.

The development board is compatible with the Universal Controller Board (UCB) featuring the Xilinx Zynq-7000 SoC. This integration enables robust FPGA-based control strategies for AC induction motors, PMSM, BLDC, and other advanced motor topologies. Out-of-the-box support includes Field Oriented Control (FOC) and V/F control, accessible via a graphical user interface for rapid prototyping and experimentation in laboratory and industrial environments.

4 kW motor control solution for demanding industrial applications. 650 V/50 A NFAM5065L4B intelligent power module mounted in DIP39 package. DC/DC converters generate auxiliary power supplies: 15V (NCP1063), 5V (FAN8303), and 3.3V (NCP718).

Three-phase current measurements enabled by operational amplifiers (NCS20166b), and voltage monitoring via resistive divider circuits. Integrated encoder interface supports both 3-HALL sensors and quadrature encoder for versatile motor feedback.

In-built thermistor for temperature sensing and NCS2250 comparator for over current protection. 512 kB EEPROM with I2C interface provides ample storage for program and control data. Complies with RoHS standards for operational safety and environmental protection.
