The Vishay VCNL4200 combines ambient light and proximity sensor capabilities within a single, compact surface mount package. This IC is engineered for both high sensitivity and long-range detection, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial, consumer, and commercial electronics where precise object detection and light monitoring are required.

Offering a sensing distance up to 1.5 meters, it can reliably detect objects even under varying lighting conditions.
