Product Description
High Pressure Inductive Proximity Sensor The High Pressure Inductive Proximty Sensor (HPIS) is a sensor that measures proximity using high pressure induction. It works by measuring the distance between two coils of wire. When the coil closest to the object being measured moves closer to the other coil, the current flowing through the first coil increases. This increase in current causes the magnetic field around the first coil to become stronger, which then induces a voltage in the second coil. By measuring the change in voltage, we can determine how close the object is to the HPIS.
