Rigol DS8000-R 4-Channel Digital Oscilloscope delivers up to 2 GHz bandwidth, 10 GSa/s sampling rate, and advanced UltraVision II technology for high-performance industrial and laboratory applications.
The RIGOL DS8000-R Series Compact Digital Oscilloscope, available in DS8034-R, DS8104-R, and DS8204-R models, is a rack-mount oscilloscope designed for industrial automation, high-channel-count data acquisition, semiconductor testing, communication-system validation, and automated test equipment. Based on RIGOL’s UltraVision II platform, it combines compact installation, high-speed waveform acquisition, deep memory, and remote-control capabilities.
The series includes the DS8034-R with 350 MHz bandwidth, DS8104-R with 1 GHz bandwidth, and DS8204-R with 2 GHz bandwidth. Each model provides four analogue input channels and an external trigger input, while the maximum real-time sampling rate of 10 GSa/s supports accurate capture of high-speed signals, transients, glitches, and complex waveform activity.
With memory depth up to 500 Mpts and waveform capture rates of at least 600,000 waveforms per second, the DS8000-R Series helps engineers investigate intermittent events without sacrificing signal detail. Its compact half-U design allows two units to be installed side by side in a standard 1U rack space, providing eight analogue channels while making efficient use of equipment racks.
Unlike a traditional benchtop oscilloscope, the DS8000-R does not include a built-in display. Users can connect an external monitor through HDMI and operate the instrument using a USB mouse and keyboard. Web Control and SCPI commands also allow complete remote operation from a computer or automated testing platform.
The multi-instrument synchronisation system can be expanded to support up to 512 synchronously triggered channels. This makes the series suitable for applications requiring simultaneous observation of numerous signals, including industrial control systems, power-electronics arrays, large-scale sensor networks, semiconductor validation, and multi-channel communication testing.
Advanced triggering, waveform search, mathematical analysis, automatic measurements, and optional serial-protocol decoding help engineers locate complex signal problems efficiently. Optional eye-diagram and jitter-analysis functions further extend its use in high-speed digital design and communication-interface validation.
The compact unit measures approximately 214 × 43 × 478 mm and weighs less than 3.6 kg. Its screenless construction supports operation in low-temperature environments and makes it suitable for installation in equipment racks, production lines, industrial test cabinets, and restricted spaces.
