The device features a compact 2 x 1.25 x 0.85 mm footprint with a clear, untinted flat top lens to maximize infrared light output through SurfLight™ technology. This allows most emitted power to be directed upward from the chip, achieving higher intensity and reducing the number of emitters required in a design.
Designed from gallium aluminium arsenide (GaAlAs), this LED offers a radiant flux of 50 mW and radiant intensity of 10 mW/sr, with a wide beam angle of 120° and a half intensity angle of 60°, providing effective illumination and sensing capabilities.
