Broadcom ACPL-064L-560E is a DC input, 2-channel optocoupler designed for surface mounting in an 8-pin small outline (SO) package. It integrates an AlGaAs LED with a high gain photodetector to achieve ultra low power consumption of 1.3mA maximum per channel, minimizing power usage in digital isolation circuits. The device supports a maximum forward LED voltage of 1.7V and requires very low input forward current, as low as 1.6mA minimum, enabling direct drive by most microprocessors.
