Product Description

The onsemi NCN5150SOICGEVB M-BUS Transceiver Evaluation Kit provides a comprehensive platform to evaluate the NCN5150 M-BUS transceiver device, housed in a standard SOIC package. Operating at a maximum frequency of 19.2 kHz, this evaluation board includes all necessary components for easy operation and demonstration of the transceiver's capabilities.

This integrated slave transceiver is designed specifically for two-wire Meter Bus (M-BUS) slave devices and repeater applications. It supports communication speeds up to 38400 Baud in half-duplex UART mode, enabling efficient data transmission for remote meter reading systems.

The NCN5150 device features a programmable power level allowing up to 2 unit loads, accessible via a 3.3 V LDO regulator supplying extended peak current. The transceiver features adjustable I/O voltage levels, low bus voltage operation, and polarity independence, ensuring reliable performance in varied industrial environments. It incorporates a power-fail detection function for enhanced system safety.
