Hirose FH28E-60S-0.5SH(05) is a 60 way right angle female FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit) connector designed for surface mount solder termination. It features a 0.5 mm pitch spacing compatible with flexible flat cables (FFC) and FPCs of standard thickness 0.3 mm. The connector incorporates a zero insertion force (ZIF) flip-lock actuator which ensures easy insertion of the cable and a robust retention mechanism that includes reinforced metal fittings and a tactile click on full closure, confirming secure locking.

The housing is manufactured from liquid crystal polymer, providing durability and allowing the connector to be mounted over conductive PCB traces without risk of electrical shorts. Phosphor bronze contacts with gold plating deliver reliable electrical conductivity and resistance to corrosion. The design includes side catches that improve retention of tabbed FPCs by aligning and securing them accurately, while also functioning as strain relief to enhance mechanical reliability.

Operating temperature range spans from -40°C to 105°C, making this connector suitable for demanding industrial and consumer electronics applications.
