Vishay VSMB2948SL Infrared Emitting Diode Subminiature SL is a high speed infrared emitting diode featuring a subminiature surface mount package with a dome lens. It utilizes GaAlAs multi quantum well technology to provide high radiant power with a peak wavelength of 960 nm. The diode dimensions are compact, measuring 2.3 x 2.55 x 2.3 mm, suitable for space-constrained applications.
The device exhibits a radiant flux of 40 mW and radiant intensity of 90 mW/sr, with a beam angle of 50° and half intensity angle of 25°, providing focused infrared emission. It includes 1 LED and 2 pins in a side-looking surface mount configuration.
VSMB2948SL employs Vishay’s proprietary SurfLight™ technology, allowing the majority of light and power to be emitted through the top of the chip.
