5 kV Insulation diagnostic is designed to conduct various diagnostic tests on electrical apparatus like transformers, cables, bushings, insulators, switchgear, lighting arrestors, rotating machines, etc. It is designed and developed indigenously at our state-of-the-art R&D laboratory. The 5K-PI is a microprocessor based instrument that employs the latest technology and very high-speed data sampling to give a correct, repetitive, and durable performance, even under harsh conditions. It can be operated through mains and battery for smooth functioning. Weighing less than 5 kgs, it makes for a lightweight & compact insulation resistance tester for outdoor applications. The device is specially designed for easy operation, and to suit the operator’s test requirements. It is certified as per the relevant IS/IEC standards. The gadget has a large white backlight LCD indication and displays test information like the insulation resistance value, test voltage, leakage current, capacitance, battery status, and timer. It is equipped with three programmable timers, provided to conduct various tests like Polarization Index (PI), Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR), Dielectric Discharge (DD), Step Voltage (SV) test, and Breakdown Voltage (BDV) test. The device has automatic capacitive loads discharged at the end of the test. 5K-PI has a Bluetooth module with Motware mobile app for remote access of the testing data & storage in the cloud for further analysis & record purposes.
