TE Connectivity MS580330BA01-00 Barometric Pressure Sensor is a new surface mount absolute pressure sensor designed to measure barometric pressures up to 850 bar accurately and reliably. It incorporates a high linearity pressure sensor combined with an ultra-low power 24-bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with internal factory calibration coefficients. This module supports multiple operating modes optimized for current consumption and conversion speed while providing precise digital 24-bit pressure and temperature data outputs through both I2C and SPI interfaces. The sensor package includes an 8-pin surface mount configuration, measuring only 6.4mm in length and 6.2mm in height, facilitating space-efficient PCB integration. It is engineered for versatile industrial, environmental, and instrument applications, including mobile altimeters, variometers, depth measurement devices, multi-mode watches, bike computers, dataloggers, and diving computers. It can be hermetically sealed for outdoor use and is protected against environmental effects with specialized packaging options including gel protection and an antimagnetic stainless steel cap.
This sensor offers high stability and very low hysteresis for pressure and temperature measurement. It does not require any external components to operate efficiently. The maximum operating pressure rating is 30 bar with the maximum overload pressure of 50 bar ensuring durability.
