Hirose DF40HC(4.0)-80DS-0.4V(58) Straight Surface PCB Socket is a high-density, low-profile electrical connector designed for board-to-board and board-to-FPC applications. It features 80 female contacts arranged in 2 rows with a fine 0.4 mm pitch, providing reliable interconnects in compact electronic devices.

The connector housing is made of Liquid Crystal Polymer, offering excellent mechanical strength and chemical resistance suitable for harsh industrial environments. It supports an operating voltage of 30 V and current up to 300 mA, making it ideal for low power circuitry.

This DF40 series socket includes a locking mechanism that emits a tactile click upon mating, ensuring secure connection. The guide ribs facilitate self-alignment within 0.33 mm, enhancing assembly precision and reducing the risk of misalignment. Shock absorbing ribs reinforce the structure to withstand mechanical impacts and vibrations.

The gold-plated copper contacts ensure high conductivity and durability, while nickel-plated barriers prevent solder wicking during assembly. The solder termination and surface mount technology (SMT) type mount enable easy soldering and stable PCB attachment.
