Vishay VSMY98545 is a high power infrared emitting diode featuring a peak wavelength of 850 nm. This infrared LED is enclosed in a compact surface mount package sized at 3.85 x 3.85 x 2.24 mm with a dome-shaped lens that incorporates the advanced SurfLight™ technology. The SurfLight™ design directs most of the emitted light through the top of the chip, providing exceptional radiant intensity and high efficiency.
With a radiant flux output of 660 mW and radiant intensity of 1600 mW/sr, the device delivers powerful infrared illumination with a beam angle of 90 degrees and an angle of half intensity of 45 degrees.
