Vishay VSMY1850X01 is a high-speed infrared (IR) emitting diode designed for surface-mount technology applications. Its compact 2012 (0805) package with dimensions of 2 x 1.25 x 0.85 mm incorporates SurfLight™ technology that directs maximum IR emission through the top lens, enhancing intensity output compared to traditional IR emitters.
This device operates at a peak wavelength of 850 nm, making it ideal for applications including Infrared Data Association (IrDA) compatible data transmission, miniature light barriers, photointerrupters, optical switches, proximity sensors, touch panels, IR flash, and 3D television synchronization. The LED exhibits a radiant flux of 50 mW and radiant intensity of 10 mW/sr, delivering powerful infrared emission with a wide beam angle of 120° and half intensity angle of 60° for efficient area coverage.
Constructed with gallium aluminum arsenide (GaAlAs) LED material, the VSMY1850X01 ensures high reliability, durability, and excellent performance.
