STMicroelectronics STELPD01PUR is a high side USB power switch integrated circuit designed to protect power rails in electronic applications. Featuring a wide operating voltage range from 4 V to 18 V and a maximum continuous current rating of 5 A, this device efficiently manages power delivery with integrated power FET and advanced protection features.
The IC precisely detects and reacts to overcurrent and overvoltage conditions, disconnecting the load during fault conditions to safeguard connected devices. It offers a fixed 17.5 V output clamp to prevent output voltage spikes, and under-voltage lockout function ensures the device stays off when input voltage is insufficient, avoiding malfunction.
Inrush current control is enhanced via an adjustable turn-on slew-rate, accommodating hot-swap operations and maintaining system stability at startup. Thermal protection further improves device reliability under stressed conditions.
