Product Description
STMicroelectronics STEVAL-ILL089V1 is a 1 A Buck LED Driver Board Evaluation Kit designed for automotive and industrial lighting applications. It integrates the ALED6000 monolithic current source, supporting digital dimming control via the DIM pin, which enables precise brightness adjustment.
The device operates as a 61 V asynchronous switching regulator with an embedded Power MOSFET, capable of sourcing up to 3 A DC current based on application conditions. It delivers low dropout operation allowing near 100% duty cycle, ideal for high-efficiency LED driving.
This evaluation board features a 500 kHz switching frequency operating frequency ensuring efficient energy conversion and supporting ceramic output capacitors, enhancing reliability and performance. The 180° out-of-phase synchronization option enables reduced electromagnetic interference in multi-board configurations.
Protection features include automatic recovery from overcurrent and thermal overload, enhancing device robustness for automotive and industrial environments.
