onsemi FOD3125 DC Input Optocoupler is a robust semiconducting device housed in a through-hole 8-pin PDIP package. It is engineered to deliver a 2.5 A peak output current gate drive suitable for medium power IGBT and MOSFET devices used predominantly in motor control inverter and power electronics system applications. Featuring ON Semiconductor's Optoplanar technology, it promises high noise immunity and enhanced common mode rejection, ensuring reliable and high-speed switching performance up to 125°C.

The device integrates a gallium aluminium arsenide (AlGaAs) LED optically coupled to an IC optimized for push-pull MOSFET output stage, delivering output voltage swings close to the supply rail.
