Hirose DF40 Series Straight Surface PCB Header DF40 with 90 contacts, 0.4 mm pitch, in a 2-row shrouded configuration provides reliable and high-density board-to-board and board-to-FPC connector solutions. The connector is designed for applications requiring miniature devices such as mobile phones, LCD displays, developer chip sets, notebook PCs, and keyboards.
This PCB Header series features a low profile and space-saving design with widths as small as 3.38 mm, allowing for high-density mounting with a vacuum area supporting pick and place mounting processes. The contacts are manufactured from phosphor bronze with gold plating providing excellent electrical conductivity and durability.
The locking mechanism gives a positive tactile click once mated, ensuring mating assurance and preventing unwanted disconnection. Guided ribs facilitate the self-alignment of connectors during mating with a precision of 0.33 mm. Nickel plated barriers protect contact areas from solder wicking, improving solder joint integrity.
