Product Description

Infineon CY8CKIT-037 PSoC 4 Pioneer Kit Motor Controller is a specialized evaluation kit designed for developing and testing DC motor control applications including Brushless DC (BLDC), Permanent Magnetic Synchronous Motors (PMSM), and Stepper motors.

This kit integrates advanced power management components such as four IR2101 high side/low side MOSFET gate drivers and eight IRFU3607 power MOSFETs arranged as four half-bridge drivers to enable efficient motor power control.

The phase current detection circuit and Hall and Back-EMF sensing circuits provide precise feedback to ensure accurate and responsive motor operation. The inclusion of a potentiometer allows manual adjustment of motor speed, while the reset and run/stop pushbuttons facilitate easy operation and control during development.

The kit is powered by a LM5005MHX switching regulator delivering +12V at 600mA, and includes multiple connectivity options including a mini USB port for PC connection, screw terminals for motor windings and power supply inputs, and an Arduino-format shield header for interfacing with the CY8CKIT-042 Pioneer Kit controller board.

Supplied accessories enhance usability for immediate deployment in development environments and include a 24V 2A power supply adapter, BLDC motor with sinusoidal back-EMF, USB Type-A to mini-B cable, configuration jumpers, 2.5A fuse, screwdriver, and a quick start guide.

This motor controller kit is well suited for educational, prototype development, industrial control, and research applications involving sophisticated motor control algorithms such as sensorless and sensored Field Oriented Control (FOC).
