Product Description

SMC CDU20-20D is a compact double acting pneumatic piston rod cylinder from the CU Series, featuring a 20 mm bore and 20 mm stroke length. Engineered for direct and precise mounting, this free-mount cylinder saves installation space and provides reliable linear motion for automation systems, machinery, and industrial applications.

The robust aluminium alloy construction offers excellent mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and ensures long-term durability in demanding environments. The double acting configuration enables smooth reciprocating motion, controlled by pneumatic actuation. Rubber bumpers/cushions at both ends absorb impact, reduce vibration, and help to achieve quieter operation.

With a maximum operating temperature of 70°C and ambient/fluid temperature range from 5°C to 60°C, the cylinder is suitable for varied industrial conditions. The single male piston rod, equipped with a metric thread, allows easy integration with mechanical linkages, fixtures, and tooling.

The CU Series incorporates flexible mounting options, recessed switch grooves, and is available with auto-switch capabilities. The cylinder is maintenance-free, requiring no external lubrication. Stroke allowance of +1.0 mm ensures tolerance for slight overtravel, maintained by precision engineering.

Operating pressure reaches up to 7 bar with a proof pressure of 10.5 bar, providing safe, reliable performance for automation, packaging, material handling, and pneumatic tooling. Port size of M5 (with exceptions at larger diameters) facilitates standard pneumatic fitting connections.
