Altera PL-USB-BLASTER-RCN USB Blaster Cable Programming USB is a professional FPGA programming device designed to connect your PC through a USB interface to a 10-pin header on Altera FPGA devices. This facilitates sending configuration data directly from the PC to the FPGA for both prototyping and production programming purposes.
The USB Blaster supports three programming modes: Joint Test Action Group (JTAG) for programming and configuring all Altera devices; Passive Serial for configuring Altera devices supported by Quartus II software; and Active Serial for programming specific EPCS devices including EPCS1, EPCS4, EPCS16, and EPCS128.
