STMicroelectronics LINK007 Chip Programmer is a specialized in-circuit debugger and programmer designed for STM8 and STM32 microcontrollers, offering seamless integration with embedded development workflows. Featuring USB connectivity via a USB A to mini B cable, it delivers 5 V power to the device, ensuring stable operation during programming and debugging sessions.

This device supports communication with target MCUs through SWIM (single wire interface module) for STM8 and JTAG/SWD (serial wire debugging) interfaces for STM32 microcontrollers. It is capable of operating over voltage ranges from 1.65 to 5.5 V for SWIM and 1.65 to 3.6 V for JTAG/SWD, with 5 V tolerant inputs for increased flexibility.

The programmer supports low-speed and high-speed SWIM modes with programming speeds of 9.7 Kbytes/s and 12.8 Kbytes/s respectively, ensuring efficient firmware updates. The included SWIM cable supports connections via ERNI standard vertical or horizontal connectors as well as 2.54 mm pitch pin headers. The JTAG interface supports the standard 20-pin 2.54 mm pitch connectors common in industrial debugging environments.

Equipped with a bright LED indicator for monitoring the connection status, the device also features a Direct Firmware Update (DFU) capability, simplifying maintenance and updates of the programmer itself.
