MaxLinear XR21B1411IL-0A-EB is an advanced UART-USB evaluation board designed for communication and wireless development applications. Operating at a maximum frequency of 48 MHz, this evaluation board integrates the XR21B1411 UART device featuring a USB interface compliant with Full Speed USB 2.0 specifications, supporting data transfer rates up to 12 Mbps. The board incorporates ±15kV Human Body Model (HBM) Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection on the USBD+ and USBD- lines, ensuring robust operation in various electrical environments. Enhanced UART features include a fractional baud rate generator, a 128-byte transmit FIFO, and a 384-byte receive FIFO buffer to facilitate efficient data handling. Additional capabilities include multidrop mode for connecting multiple devices, auto transceiver control, half-duplex communication mode, and selectable general purpose input/output (GPIO) or modem I/O lines. The board operates on a single +5V power supply and possesses 5V tolerant inputs, enabling compatibility with a wide range of electronic modules and development platforms.

The USB interface supports Full Speed USB 2.0 compliant 12Mbps data transfer rate. Features unique pre-programmed USB serial number for device identification.
