Littelfuse MDSM-4R-12-18 PCB Surface Mount Reed Switch is a hermetically sealed switch designed for industrial and commercial PCB applications. It features a low power consumption design with no required operating power to close the magnetic contacts.

These single-pole single-throw (SPST) normally open contacts support switching up to 200 V DC at 10 W maximum power, making them ideal for use in control, sensing, and security devices.

The reed switch has a fast response, with a maximum release time of 0.1 ms, and operating time including bounce not exceeding 0.5 ms, ensuring precise control and minimal switching noise.

Designed with a nickel iron alloy contact material, the switch maintains low, stable contact resistance of 100 milliohms throughout the operating life. The device is surface mountable and provides easy PCB integration using a wire terminal type.

It is suitable for applications including position sensing, level sensing, industrial controls, security systems, limit switching, office equipment, and metering. This reed switch is surface mounting normally open type. Capable of switching 200 V DC or 0.5 A at up to 10 watts power.

Has low and stable contact resistance for reliable operation. Operates in temperature range from -40°C to 125°C for broad environmental resilience. Constructed to UR standards ensuring quality and safety.
