Souriau Sunbank by Eaton 8STA00205PN Circular Connector is a 5-contact, panel mount socket connector designed for high durability and performance in harsh environments. Operating at 1000V and 3A current, it features a lightweight aluminium housing with gold plated copper contacts for superior conductivity and corrosion resistance.
Developed primarily for motorsport applications such as Formula 1, Moto GP, WRC, Nascar, and other racing vehicles, this connector also finds use in military applications including UAVs, ground vehicles, and infantry systems where size, weight, and reliability are critical factors.
The connector supports a wide operating temperature range from -55°C to 175°C and is rated IP67, providing protection against dust ingress and immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. It utilizes a quick mating bayonet lock mechanism requiring only a 1/3 turn, with an audible click for secure connections.
The series 8STA connectors are designed to withstand high shock resistance of 300g for 3ms and vibration up to 147m/s² between 10 to 2000Hz, ensuring excellent performance in demanding industrial, automotive, military, and aerospace environments.
