The Vishay VS-22RIA40 is a high-quality thyristor SCR designed for industrial applications such as battery chargers, welders, plating equipment, regulated power supplies, and temperature or speed control circuits. Encapsulated in a TO-48 package with a screw mount, this device offers excellent mechanical stability and electrical isolation.

Rated for an average on-state current of 22 A and surge current rating up to 420 A, it supports demanding power switching tasks. The repetitive peak reverse voltage of 400 V and repetitive peak off-state current of 10 mA make it suitable for high-voltage applications. The maximum gate trigger current of 60 mA and maximum gate trigger voltage of 2 V ensure precise and reliable triggering, while the maximum on-state voltage of 1.7 V helps to reduce power losses.

The device withstands a wide operating temperature range from -65°C to 125°C, making it robust for harsh industrial environments. With only 2 pins and screw mounting type, installation and replacement are straightforward.
