Product Description

The RIGOL MSO8000 Series Digital Oscilloscope, available in MSO8064, MSO8104, and MSO8204 models, is a mid-to-high-end mixed-signal oscilloscope designed for embedded-system debugging, high-speed digital design, RF testing, power-electronics analysis, automotive electronics, and advanced laboratory research. Built on RIGOL’s Phoenix and UltraVision II technology platforms, it combines high-bandwidth signal acquisition, deep memory, fast waveform capture, and mixed-signal analysis in one instrument.

The RIGOL MSO8064 provides 600 MHz analogue bandwidth, the RIGOL MSO8104 provides 1 GHz bandwidth, and the RIGOL MSO8204 extends the bandwidth to 2 GHz. Lower-bandwidth models can be upgraded to higher bandwidth through supported software options, allowing the instrument to adapt to changing testing requirements.

All three models provide four analogue channels and support up to 16 digital channels when used with a compatible optional logic probe. A maximum real-time sampling rate of 10 GSa/s enables accurate capture of high-speed analogue and digital signals, while the mixed-signal architecture helps engineers correlate electrical waveform behaviour with digital bus activity.

The 500 Mpts memory depth allows long waveform records to be captured without significantly reducing the sampling rate. Engineers can zoom into stored data to examine individual transitions, timing faults, protocol errors, and short-duration anomalies that may be difficult to identify using limited acquisition memory.

A waveform capture rate of up to 600,000 waveforms per second reduces acquisition dead time and increases the probability of detecting occasional glitches and abnormal signal events. Hardware-based segmented recording can capture up to 450,000 waveform frames while preserving the timing information associated with each event.

The mixed-signal capability makes the MSO8000 Series suitable for embedded-system debugging and digital-control applications. With an optional logic probe, users can simultaneously observe four analogue signals and 16 digital channels, helping identify relationships between sensor outputs, clock signals, control lines, and serial-bus communication.

Full-memory hardware measurements analyse the entire acquired waveform rather than only the portion visible on the display. Advanced triggering, protocol decoding, waveform search, FFT analysis, jitter measurement, and pass/fail testing help streamline debugging, validation, and production-quality workflows.

The 10.1-inch capacitive multi-touch display provides clear waveform visualisation and intuitive control of acquisition, triggering, measurement, decoding, and analysis settings. USB, LAN, HDMI, Web Control, and SCPI compatibility allow the oscilloscope to be integrated into benchtop laboratories, remote workstations, and automated test systems.

Typical applications include embedded-system development, mixed-signal circuit debugging, RF and communication testing, power-supply validation, automotive electronics, semiconductor evaluation, signal-integrity analysis, electronic manufacturing, educational laboratories, and R&D testing.
