Fluke 5 kV Insulation Tester Kit, 1550C FC

The Fluke 5kV Insulation tester kit, 1550C FC is designed to test insulation in motors, transformers, cables, switchgear, and all other high-voltage equipment up to 5,000 volts. It was developed as part of a preventive/predictive maintenance program and will assist you in detecting insulation decay well before it becomes a costly failure or unscheduled operational downtime.

This 5 kV insulation tester kit measures insulation up to 2 TΩ and automatically calculates the Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR) and Polarization Index (PI), providing you with clear, clear insight into the condition of your insulation without any complicated set-up.

By utilizing Fluke Connect™ wireless technology, test results can be monitored remotely; viewed in real-time trends on a smart phone; and stored in a digital format for quicker reporting and documentation. The guard system reduces errors due to surface leakage currents, thereby providing you with a more accurate high-resistance measurement. Other characteristics of this device, including capacitance measurement, testing of leakage current, ramp testing, and programmable timer settings support an extensive evaluation of insulation characteristics.

The tester also features an operating range of CAT III (1000 V) and CAT IV (600 V), developed with safety as a priority.
