Product Description

RS PRO 183-1575 is a high-quality 28 way vertical DIL Socket designed for through hole mounting of dual in-line package electronic components. The socket utilizes turned pin contacts with a 2.54 mm pitch and a closed frame construction that eliminates flux intrusion and solder wicking during soldering, ensuring reliable and durable connections.

Constructed with stamped spring copper inserts and plated with tin on the outer sleeve, the socket provides excellent electrical contact and mechanical resilience, allowing for repeated insertion and withdrawal of ICs without connection degradation.

The housing is made from UL94V-0 rated thermoplastic material that withstands high-temp soldering processes up to 260°C, ensuring reliability in demanding production conditions.
