onsemi MOC3053SM optocoupler is a high-performance surface mount device featuring a 6-pin SMT package. It combines a gallium arsenide (GaAs) infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a non-zero crossing silicon bilateral AC switch (triac). This construction ensures excellent isolation between input and output, enabling safe interfacing between low voltage logic circuits and AC power lines up to 115 VAC or 240 VAC.
