Sharp GP2S60B is a Surface Reflective Optical Sensor with phototransistor output, designed in a compact SMD package measuring 3.2 x 1.7 x 1.1 mm. It provides noncontact sensing by combining a phototransistor detector and emitter facing the same direction within a molded package that blocks visible light to reduce false detection. The device is optimized for a peak sensing distance of 0.5 mm, making it suitable for precise proximity and object detection in electronic circuits.
