STMicroelectronics STEVAL-ISA172V2 is an advanced AC-DC digital switched-mode power supply (D-SMPS) evaluation board featuring the STM32F334C8 microcontroller for comprehensive power management control. It supports input voltages from 90 V to 264 V AC with AC frequency between 45 Hz and 65 Hz, making it compatible with various power environments.

The board delivers output voltages of 48 V or 52 V and can provide a maximum output current of 42 A, corresponding to a nominal power output of 2 kW. It utilizes a two-phase interleaved power factor correction (PFC) stage operating at 60 kHz controlled by STM32F334C8 with average current mode control, ensuring power factor up to 0.99 and compliance with energy efficiency standards.

The DC-DC stage employs a full-bridge phase-shifted zero-voltage switching (ZVS) topology with synchronous rectification operating at 100 kHz, minimizing switching losses and improving overall energy efficiency to an 80 PLUS Platinum level. High-frequency (HF) transformer provides isolation voltage up to 4 kV, enhancing safety in industrial and laboratory applications.

Robust protection circuitry is integrated, including over-temperature shutdown and output short circuit protection, ensuring reliability under demanding operating conditions. The PFC power stage is built with MDmesh M2 Power MOSFETs and SiC Diodes, while the DC-DC stage uses MDmesh DM2 Power MOSFETs with synchronous STripFET Power MOSFETs.
