Broadcom AFBR-57B4APZC fibre optic transceiver is a high-performance module designed to enable data transmission at speeds up to 50 MBaud over multimode fibers of 62.5 µm/125 µm core-cladding diameter. Equipped with an LC duplex rectangular connector, this transceiver supports link distances up to 2 kilometers, making it ideal for telecommunications, data center interconnects, and industrial networking applications.
The module operates with a single 3.3V power supply, offering low current consumption and power dissipation. The integrated 850 nm VCSEL (Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser) transmitter with typical 5 ns rise and 3 ns fall times ensures clean signal transmission. It is hot pluggable conforming to the SFP multi-source agreement specification for ease of installation and maintenance.
Designed to operate in harsh environments, the transceiver meets rigorous standards such as IEC 60068-2-11 and Telcordia GR-63-CORE for reliability in industrial and commercial use. It also complies with IEC 61000-4-2 for electromagnetic interference and EMC performance, ensuring stable operation in electrically noisy environments.
