Product Description

PR Electronics 5437A2 Temperature Transmitter 300V dc offers highly accurate and reliable temperature measurement with a wide operating range from -50°C to 85°C, suitable for process control applications in demanding industrial environments. This transmitter converts various sensor inputs, including thermocouples, RTDs, and linear resistance, to a standardized 4 - 20 mA output signal for seamless integration.

The dual input design supports two sensors simultaneously, ensuring process availability by utilizing sensor redundancy to switch to a backup sensor upon failure. The transmitter supports modern communication through HART 7 and HART 5 protocols, providing configurable options and future-proof connectivity.

Installation is facilitated by the innovative housing design with wiring access from inside or outside terminals, and a large 1/4 inch centre hole accommodates various probe sizes. The device includes loop test pins for direct current measurement while maintaining loop integrity, and an on-board LED indicates fault status meeting NAMUR NE44 and NE107 standards.

Certified for hazardous locations, it complies with ATEX, IECEx Zone 2, UL, FM, and other international approvals supporting operation in harsh and hazardous industrial settings. Superior galvanic isolation (2.5 kVAC / 55 VAC) protects against ground loops and transient interference, ensuring signal integrity.
